hi everyone, my niece is getting married and had asked if I knew where these photos were taken. I thought some of the fine folks here might have some knowledge. Does anyone know? is this a known place? or is it just some private barn that the bride and groom were lucky to get to use?

thanks in advance,

Why not ask the person that took these photos? I tried to find the owner of these images but it shows that the images are private and cannot find the owner.

Usually abandoned buildings are located on private property. Case in point: abandoned buildings in Pickering that have been marked for the airport there if it ever gets built are owned by Transport Canada I think and thus, no trespassing (liability, injury, etc.).

I think the issue is that his niece found these pictures online and you actually don't know who the photographer is.

These are pretty non-descriptive pictures as it could be any barn and abandomed house on farm property. It would be something prior to turn of the century judging by the size of the rocks in the foundation, and since it seems this house has actual window frames and a 2nd level, i would chance at something closer to city centres.

I've seen a few sites like this in the Hamilton-Wellington region, but it was definitely private property.

some of the farmers in the Mt. Albert area (north end of the 404) are very friendly and sometimes will let you use their property.

thanks for the replies,

yes they were found on line somewhere and forwarded to me. I just thought these were taken as some known location that I wasn't aware of, I was hoping for "Oh yes, that barn is at location x, it is a popular place for wedding photos" or something.

I guess it is some private location that the bride and groom were lucky to get the use of. The photos at this location are spectacular, it made a real nice backdrop.

thanks again
