I usually use my Stroboframe if I am doing event photography. It has been misplaced or displaced due to a move. I'm stuck for an alternative right now.

Any suggestions about diffusing light on an SB800 flash would be gratefully accepted. Prefer not to spend money on another flash bracket as I am hoping that I will be able to find my Stroboframe when I return from Montreal and gig.

I usually only use a Lightsphere II (clear) without a bracket. I also keep a few precut white-foamies aka BetterBounceCard in the bag... they work better if there aren't any walls/ceilings to help with the bounce.

http://super.nova.org/DPR//DIY01/ Go to Michaels or Walmart for the materials. Takes 10 minutes at most to put together.

I saw this too. It's so neat! I'll see if I have enough time. Definitely have some of the materials already.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

+1 for Seren Dipity's suggestion and I'd add to that the better bounce card
http://abetterbouncecard.com/ also easy to make very quickly. I use the Demb flip-it and keep the ABBC and an index card with my kit just in case as backup. As for the 'fong dong' I stayed clear away from that but some shooters do get good results at times. ;)

Hey JLam, I have a strobframe bracket which I don't always use, you are welcome to borrow it for your shoot if you like.
