Yesterday I saw a guy shooting near Dundas and Spadina, he had a set of big shiny headphones on, very tight clothing and a DSLR with a grip. He was playing the street photographer type with a lot of enthusiasm, an old man was sitting on the stairs near that place and he photographed him as if he was photographing an inanimate object. I was right behind him so I could see there was nothing in that shot other than an annoyed old man sitting there thinking wtf, but he took his time and framed like it was a crime scene.

I felt like going to him to say take it easy but he had headphones on... Was he pretentious or simply didn't knew any better? I hope its the later because one can be pretentious without coming across as an awkward attention seeker.
