Yeah, quite a few of us do. There has been many film shoots held by TPMG members. Some of us shoot medium format and I can name 3 people who shoot large format.

Sweet! I love film. I shoot 95% film. Only shoot digital when I use a flash.

I love the whole photographing process, taking it slowing, cocking the shutter, metering and estimating the exposure, the sound of the shutter, not being able to chimp, taking it to a lab ... wait wait and wait ... then when I get back the negatives rushing home in excitement and feeling like I am taking the photos a second time and learning from my mistakes ... :-) What fun! The joy of photography! :-)

I would love to hook up with someone who shoots medium format and learn. I have been eyeing some second hand stuff online but want to check out the photo making process with a medium format before I spend the money.

Cheers!

Keep film alive folks!!!

I shoot film in 35 and medium format. Aside from a digital point and shoot I carry for work, I have not made the conversion to digital. I enjoy the process of handling slides and uncut medium format transparencies.

rashomon,

don't need a darkroom to soup film. bathrooms the world over see more than seat and shower action ha ha. all you really need is a space or changing bag to load reels then it's white light city. pretty sure there have been film processing get together/ lessons posted here so keep an eye out for those.

tanks and reels are dime a dozen or you can hit up the next camera show at the don valley holiday inn later this month.

happy trails and you're going to love medium format !

lg

sorry, not the Holiday Inn, its the Don Valley Hotel. According to an ad in the PHSC newsletter, it's Nov 27 10-3pm. $7 for the pleasure of spending money ;)

Nice that it's close for those who live closer to mid town and hated the drive up Bayview and public transit access is much better.
