I was going to post this in the Resources section as it said that was the area to post about books, but posting there is restricted to moderators (?). I received an email this morning about a sale on photo related books at Amazon.ca. Some of the books are up to 50% of list price. Normally I would not pass the info on, but some of the books on sale may be of interest to folks here.

There has always been a lot of interest on this forum about flash, strobes and lighting so I thought the two books called Strobist Photo Trade Secrets Volume 1: Expert Lighting Techniques and Strobist Photo Trade Secrets, Volume 2: Portrait Lighting Techniques might be of interest.

And similarly there are often discussion about printing, and the recent and coming ad hocs on special printing media have been popular, so Digital Alchemy: Printmaking techniques for fine art, photography, and mixed media might be a book some may wish to look at.

There are others, but I am not pushing Amazon, just passing the information along. You guys know how to find Amazon.

PS: I do not work for Amazon nor do I have any relationship with them other than customer.

I didn't realise that Peterson's books were included with the sale.
I already have most of them... except for the upcoming book on flash. So I pre-ordered that, along with Neil vanNiekerk's book on flash. Both arriving in August.

Hate amazon... it's too easy to shop from there.

Was amazon selling the books at 50% off or was it the 'other sellers' ? Looks like other sellers to me.

The three sample titles I listed are all identified as sold by Amazon, although there are other sellers listed as well. Looks like the 50% sale is over as all the books are now listed as 37% off.

With the sale over it is hard to check for sure, but I think they were being sold by Amazon directly during the sale.
