My wife and I are going on a calm water cruise starting Monday evening from Kingston retiring Thursday afternoon. I have never been to Kingston or Ottawa and we are planning to be in Kingston the day before the cruise and Ottawa the day after the cruise. I would appreciate any suggestions on the best way to spend a day in each of he two cities with a camera.

that's kind of like asking what should you eat while in Ottawa. The answer depends on your tastes. Do you like candid people photography?, nature/landscape photography? architecture photos? places of historical significance?

I really enjoyed the tour of the Parliament buildings - even from a photographic point of view. I think this question did come up recently. Search this site and I think a thread exists about photo-ops in Ottawa.
