Just came across this article.

A writer for ESPN tags along with Andrew Bernstein for a look at a typical day photographing an NBA game. The dude uses 6 cameras :shock: 3, of them remotely -- crazy.

Not really crazy, pretty standard out there.

I recall a past rally race where a group of students from a photog school setup a remote camera on the outside of a corner (where you absolutely can't be standing at) and the guy standing on the inside of the corner. Guy takes photo of the car at a specific spot, the remote would fire off at the same time for that other perspective.
