Has anyone used these offsets to Canon batteries? Some reviews say they're just as good, and they're significantly cheaper. What are your experiences.

Not from that particular vendor, but I have 3rd party batteries for just about all my cameras and other devices.

Generally speaking, they're almost all higher-capacity than the OEMs and I don't have any trouble with them, except for the new "chipped" batteries like those for my 7D and HF100, they don't report the charge level, and I need a separate charger for them.

Given the huge difference in price, and the number of cameras/devices I've used them on, I've probably saved several thousand dollars at this point.

I prefer third party batteries. With my OEM battery I would get about 1200-1500 shots per charge. With a third party battery I can shoot nearly 4K (at the same sporting events). Of course results may vary but the proof is in the pudding.

Not to mention the price difference. Thats an easy win.

Thanks for the feedback. Between this and what I've read, I may order a couple for my 50D.

I've used nonCanon batteries that I bought off ebay in my 30D. They were half the price of the Canon battries. They last about 80% as long as the Canon ones but since recharging is free they were worth the money. I always carry a spare set with my camera.
