Abe was my hookup - after about an hour of placating the film hounds (I bought 10 rolls of 120 from him myself - it was funny to see Ryan struggling with armfuls of film - someone found him a bag, eventually) Abe produced the item I'd been looking for, a Fuji PA-45 packfilm back for my Speed Graphic. hehe it even had three shots left inside! Works perfectly.

It was nice to run into a couple of old friends, too - spend as much time getting caught up as I did hunting for bargains.

Also got some more interesting ones like the original Velvia and Kodachrome 64 :)

I paid 7 bucks! I printed the coupon but forgot to take it with me. Got 80 rolls of film. I have more film than food in my fridge. Wished there were more 120 Portras!

I'm so dumb, I was overwhelmed by everything (it's my first time! ) and forgot to buy 120mm film. :(

For those that missed out on the $1 film deals, Abe will have a few tables at the October 4th show in Woodbridge @ the Soccer Centre. I'll actually be manning the table for him (he has a previous engagement).

For the ones going to the Oct 4th show... I live in North York and would appreciate a ride if anyone's driving nearby. I could also meet you at a nearby subway station.

Thanks!

Personally I'm taking YRT bus 77 from the Finch Terminal at 9:10 and arrives just before 10am...just have to walk south for 10 minutes from Martin Grove/Hwy7.

Well, not as good pickings this time, although I picked up a third 285HV with SB-4 power supply now. I did pick up an interesting pin from Sony which had a CCD embedded in it (it was probably one of the CCDs they had to recall, so they had to make up the money somewhere).

There weren't so many vendors this time...PHSC advertises "X number tables" but not all of those tables were filled this time.

Next show...Sunday November 22 at the Thornhill Community Centre again, usual times.

PHSC will have the free bus from Kipling subway station again for those who don't drive. Details at http://phsc.ca/fairs.html

You can also take YRT Highway7-077 bus, but you'll have to walk south on Martin Grove for ~10 minutes from Highway7.

No Problem. I was curious myself last night since I might be in the market for an inexpensive rangefinder pancake lens, something in and around 35mm.

To fill in the details since there's a year's worth of posts on one page, and it's actually just over a week away:

Sunday September 19
10am-3pm
Thornhill Community Centre
Bayview & John
Admission $7
Free parking

The YRT Bayview091 and Milliken002 buses stops across the street from it.

Crap... I may have to miss the upcoming camera show this weekend.

I'll have to settle for the October one in Woodbridge, which I'm beginning to suspect is deliberately scheduled the same weekend as the Henry's shows.

Did anybody make it out to the Thornhill show today? I missed it as TIFF was still in gear. Any cool finds?

Decent crowd. As usual Abraham's tables were crowded with film deals and such. Some nice darkroom stuff here and there. One guy had Ilford 7x17 film and the usual shredded backpacks.

I went today, against my better judgment (refer to thread on the upcoming social).

Picked up a T-mount adapter and a pair of arca swiss plates.

The date for the next Thornhill show is:

Toronto International Camera Show
Sunday, November 28th, 2010
10am-3pm
Thornhill Community Centre
7755 Bayview Avenue

Of course the next one is the Woodbridge one the same weekend as the Henry's show.
