I don't know if it is the same model as I had for a while but if it is it has the most convoluted film loading that I have ever seen.

Personally I'm taking YRT bus 77 from the Finch Terminal at 9:10 and arrives just before 10am...just have to walk south for 10 minutes from Martin Grove/Hwy7.

Note, the YRT 077 bus now leaves Finch terminal at 9:06, NOT 9:10!

Why do we want expired film?

I had tons of it, so I did something I've always wanted to do. I grabbed the leaders and yanked them all out. I did that with all my expired film (we're talking really really expired). And I did that will all my cassette tapes too. It was fun. :-) Felt pretty good afterwards. LOL! And I rilly rilly want to fling all my LP's up against a tree, frisbee style, but something tells me I better hang on to them.

Some teacher at school chucked out boxes of old, vintage photo paper (the kind of paper u cant develop because the chemicals dont exist anymore) so I had a paper tossing party in my garage. LOL...my friends and I flung it all over the place. It was great to open a "black bag", grab a handful of paper, and toss it in the air. Sort of like giving the middle finger to 5yrs of school spent in the dark. So happy I don't have to do that anymore.

Or you could wait for the slow moving zombie apocalypse and use the records to take off their heads!

I knew staying up to watch Shaun of the Dead again would come in handy!

In addition to Henry's and PHSC, I also have the PAL/MIAC A/V/lighting/music show that weekend at the CNE (for those in the industry only)...anyone figure out a way to clone a person for real in Photoshop?

You'd think they would coordinate so people could attend both....

Not sure if that was intended to be sarcasm, but I think that is exactly the point. It is only in Woodbridge after all :)

Which is fine and dandy if you drive...personally I take the YRT to get to the Woodbridge event, and I take TTC to get to the Henry's show.

But then again I can go the Henry's during the day on Friday, and the PAL/MIAC show I want to go to during the day on Monday.

Has anyone been to the Woodbridge one in prior years? Are all of the used equipment so old that they won't work with a newer DSLR? Or do they have a lot of old Nikon D lenses as well?

Just trying to determine if it's worth the effort. From the ads, it seems to me that it's more for collector items and stuff.

The Woodbridge one is pretty much the same as the Thornhill one. Just a bigger location. You can find older manual lenses that could be adapted to DSLRs. I've seen Nikon D lenses as well but I usually find that their prices for digital gear just isn't very good. Somewhat higher than Craigslist prices.

Definitely a must go if you shoot film.

I do have a Minolta X-370 somewhere collecting dust. I seem to remember the shutter sometimes get stuck.

I will look for a cheap manual focus wide angel prime for my D80.

Nikon Ai-S lenses are what you're looking for.

It all depends on WHO shows up and WHAT they bring!

I've bought digital lenses at BOTH shows in the past.

I'm going by YRT...I took the free bus once, but it was an awful ride (worth what you pay for it)...I much prefer paying for YRT.

Bought a Polaroid 250 for $10. Didn't work.
Bought a SX-70 but have yet to try.

Both items were bought from the guy who sells the film. I think you'll just have to try your luck. Or bring the appropriate battery/film to try there.

did you put batteries in the polaroid land 250? you may need to convert it to take moden batteries. you can get everything you need from active surplus.

It is a really easy battery hack, and the parts cost about $3, if I remember correctly.
