Hey everyone,

I am very new on here and am looking for some advice. I am Myke and I have been getting into photography over the past year. I mainly take landscape shots as I am often with my camera on hikes and enjoy the wilderness - although in the future, I would like to get into taking some photos for sports.

Currently I have a D3300 with the kit lense as well as a 70-300mm Tameran lense.

As a beginner I feel like I am able to get a lot out of my current camera, but I am looking to invest more time and money into the hobby, thus before I start buying gadgets and accessories for my camera I want to make sure that I have the right one for my needs. From the research that I have conducted I am personally leaning towards the D7200, or EOS 70D or - if I want to save some money up - and look at a D750. I am also open to other brands, it is just that i have liked the features on the Nikons based on the reviews I have seen.

Furthermore, I have been looking at some of the local buy and sell postings for used cameras and I have been seeing some decent prices on D5300, D7100, and some Canon models. Would it be better to just look at these models and spend the extra money on better lenses?

Thanks,

Myke

Hello Myke...
For sports you need a faster fps camera.
If not I would consider mirror less options...since you are not having lot of gear in the first place.

These two are my pics

Canon 7D Mark II DSLR
Sony a77II DSLR

No matter what brand you go ..you buy lenses for those.
These days all the brands are having decent glass.
I wish you the best.
