Hi all,

Going to Mont Tremblant to ski in the next few days...

Any suggestions for camera care in these conditions? I'm bringing my old XTi, but its my lenses I'm worried about.

Thanks

If you ski with the camera in your backpack, keep the battery in your jacket to keep it warm while skiing.
I would take only one lens on the camera on the slope.
Enjoy skiing, man!
I envy you.

Lol, nothing to envy...some decent deals this time of the year.

Looking forward to it for sure.

I got a couple spare batteries that I'll be packing, my concern is condensation and how can I reduce it from extreme temp changes?

I don't want to walk around with a ziploc bag around my camera. I have this neoprene sleeve-like for it, I'll keep it in that.

Just going to bring my Tamron 17-50 and a mini-pod and enjoy my little vacay.

Thanks for replying.

I don't think you need to worry about condensation, that happens when you bring a cold camera into a warm room.
You could buy a bag of dessicant, and keep the camera in the ziploc bag with that dessicant, while inside.
That way, you get all the moisture out of the camera, before taking it out in the freezing cold.
In theory, that should work.
:-)
Enjoy
