Interesting as long as you don't wear watches with analogue hands.

Be interesting to see how they tackle bounce. Overall I prefer it to what I use now.

Cool idea, but I don't see myself picking any up.
Already have three Honl speedgrids, and the extremely slight marginal benefit of saving a fraction of a second doesn't justify the additional cost.

I DON'T want magnetic accessories in my camera bag because many times I'll carry my laptop or a hard drive in my backpack too.

Also I worry if magnets will affect the flash since magnets can affect the flow of electricity.

The magnets would have to be ridiculously strong to have any impact. Chances are they aren't anywhere near as good to affect anything.

Going to bring this up because of the context, but I have a Ph.D. in physics, pretty sure this is a complete non-issue. Argument by authority is a logical fallacy, but in this instance my money is on the magnets are no where near the strength required to be a concern.

Agreed they will not effect the flow of electricity but the bigger ones have been known to fly several feet to come together with bone and magnetic shattering results, they shatter into shards with a shower of sparks. I have had them pull the arms off a old style analog watch. Also even the small ones can destroy magnetic media plus magnetize parts that shouldn't be magnetized. I'm not sure why they need such strong magnets. Still their concept might have merit. A 2"x1" magnet can easily support my considerable weight.

Guess you never took a ordinary household magnet to a CRT based Tv picture tube to see how the picture bends and/or changes colour.

I have, but now you're comparing apples to oranges. CRTs don't employ the same technology as in your laptop or flashes.
