Looking for a 35mm prime as I seem to shoot at that focal length a lot and I really like that focal length as well.

I have read the reviews online but wanted some user opinions if you have used one or both before.

Currently will be mounted on a D700 but looking to get a D800 soon.

Thanks

Sigma. Definitely the Sigma. Did I mention Sigma? Because the Sigma is the one you want. SIGMA SIGMA SIGMA!

Strange that nobody has mentioned Sigma so far. It's the one you want!

Most camera stores have no problem if you do a lens test in the store. I've shot portraits with each lens at each setting, then gone home and checked the files side by side. One lens always stands out...

I ended up picking up the Sigma.

Tested at about 3 or 4 different stores before I found a copy that didn't have the focusing issue.
