Anyone else see this?

Looks like it's still under development but it will be a very interesting topic to keep an eye on...

The example images don't look that promising new a to d technologies are coming on line that do something similar and they really work.

No unfortunately most of the tech stopped on film scanners when Nikon got out of the business. (Dam Nikon!) It's all about signal to noise running half the pixels at low amplifier gain and half at high amplification is a neat experiment but you don't really "gain" anything except half resolution and more noise.

The 41 meg cell camera in another thread makes good use of a few of the newer solutions.

I'm sure Canon is well aware of this technology and had plans to use it in some future release. Like somethings they do, it's there but not made public. Canon is probably not very pleased that someone else has found it and is making use of it.

This is not so much technology more an experiment a slight of hand. I'm sure Canon is ecstatic about the may fry sensor clause. Dynamic range is limited by the sensor not by the pre-amp gain. All and all still an interesting experiment.

Well, these guys have made possible quite a handful of features that don't come with the camera from manufacturer
