Yes, I believe if you got anything from Nik before you get a free upgrade to whole collection.

I really like the Nik plugins - bought the whole collection last year - much cheaper now. At least I didn't upgrade to the newer HDR version as now I got it free plus my plugins now work with photoshop (prior you either bought the Aperture/Lightroom editons or the more expensive Photoshop versions). So a pleasant suprise by google. I just hope they continue to update them in the future - cause they did cancel snapseed for Mac/pc.

It's true - I got the email link a few days ago to download the most up-to-date versions that are compatible with all supported programs.

The coupon "MU-43" ( from mu-43.com ) will bring the price down to about 126.

Is the Nik software compatible with Lightroom 3? I tried downloading and installing the trial version, but can‘t make it work. When I try to open an image in Silver Efex, it crashes. When I try to open 3 images in the HDR program, it says that the external application fails to open. I have tried the Silver Efex with different images, both NEF and JPEG, and I have tried restarting the computer.

Their website says it's compAtible with version 3 and up for Lightroom. So something else is causing your crashing issue. Maybe uninstall and reinstall again.

Do they give you the option between a mailed disk copy or a web download?

I hear that they sent out e-mails to all registered buyers. Maybe you didn't register with them?

As I type this, the link still works and there's no expiry date.

Didn't see an option for a disk.

I'm currently using Aperture but may switch to Lightroom within a year if Apple doesn't release a new version within that time frame. Just wondering if I purchase a set of the Nik plugins for use with Aperture now, would I be able to use the same set of plugins if I make the switch to Lightroom? or would I need to buy a whole new set of plugins?

thanks in advance!

I think that once you've bought them you should be OK with both products. I don't use Aperture but I bought the Nik set for PS and then also downloaded it for LR without problems. Double-check with Nik though.
