Hi Everyone, Just wondering if anyone has bought from Cowboy Studio in Mississauga ( they have a web site and thier US store is based in Texas but you can buy direct from a Mississauga location) ? I am very new to the industry and looking at making alot of purchases. Thier prices are just so low that it worries me that thier equipment is of low quality. Any advice ? Because I am just starting out would buying for a known retail store like Henrey's be advised?... HELP I don't want to get ripped off being so new. I have reseached and read so much that my head is spinning!

They have a good rep on Amazon.ca.

The questions I'd be asking are:
-is this just a shipping outlet here, not a store like what B&H do
-Is this a store connected with the Dallas location, or a Canadian store with the same name
-Do they just do mail order, or are they an actual retail outlet with normal hours

They are also listing items on Kijiji.

I've bought some light stands from them from Amazon.ca

Their price and quality are great but what I didn't know was they shipped the stands from the US, so I ended up paying more than I thought from customs fees. They used UPS too which adds two fees of their own onto the price, I ended up paying an extra 30% on my purchase because of that.

There's a similar retailer on amazon.ca called Canadian Studio, they sell most of the same equipment and it is locally shipped.
