I picked up a Canon FD 50mm f/1.4 SSC for next to nothing recently, with the caveat that the aperture is stuck open at 1.4
I tried to mount it today on my AE-1 and it mounted fine. When I tried to unstick the aperture, however, I may have made things worse. I may have kicked the lens into manual aperture control. Now I can't even mount it.

A video on YouTube indicated what I should do, but it focuses on a bayonet-mount versions whereas I have a breech mount (no mount button on the side).

It's probably not worth getting professionally repaired, but is anybody here (or know of anybody) really familiar with these and can lend a hand?
