Nice feature set... Take it from me that a 24-70 with stabilization is pretty useful.

The tamron needs the VR/IS because you have to stop it down to 5.6 to get a sharp image; in turn lowering your shutter speed :lol:

wonder how the IQ compares to my Nikon 24-70 (which is not VR). More importantly, is the gain in stabilization worth the loss in IQ.

what's the point of comparing canon to nikon? Two different systems
