Hey all

I have a project shoot coming up where I would need a wide angle lens. I m wondering if ttheres any member would be willing to lend their wide lens gear. We can talk compensation sure. I can certainly go to henrys and other places to get rental but my budget is very limited. I have a Nikon D90. Looking for 10mm or 14mm.

I know this is a long shot but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway.

Hi Jen,

not thinking this is going to happen... as there are a lot of factors, and being that you haven't contributed very much to the forum in nearly 5 years you've been a member - people here don't really know you. It would be a different case if you came out regularly and we got to know you, I'd probably work out some kind of loan of my 14-24, but that's not in the cards.

My I suggest you look into a rental from Headshots/Henrys.

12-24 (DX) is $24/day at Headshots. If you return the lens same day, you should get 50% off.

really? i didnt know about the 50% off deal if you return it same day.

Do they require a deposit or hold $$ on your CC until you return the lens?

On a recent Nikon 70-200 rental, they held $500 on my credit card.

If I pick up and return to Headshots on the same day (vs pickup and/or return to Henry's), they always give me 50% off the rental fee. I am a regular there, but I don't think they are giving me any special deals.

Im not making $$ out of this as this is a personal project Im working on so If i can save a few $$ it would be great! I thought Id throw it first to this forum and make arrangements with other photographers instead of going directly to retails.

actually this is what's written on the website:

EITHER 8:30am until NOON, or NOON until 5:30pm on the SAME DAY. Beyond these times, the full day rate will apply. In-store pick-up and return only.

Overnight

50% charges apply between 5:00pm first day until 9:00am next day. Does not apply over weekends or statutory holidays. Beyond these times the full day rate will apply. In-store pickup and return only.
