hello everyone
just wondering if anyone knew if extended warranties say of items purchased through futureshop (or equivalent) are transferrable if one sells their gear to another user? more specifically in the case of camera bodies

I see ads on craigslist saying that their camera has an extended warranty which sounds nice and all but if it isn't transferrable then it really doesn't hold much value does it?

You really have to check the terms of the warranty. Henry's extended warranties are transferable to the new owner. I think you can also transfer the remaining warranty to a new purchase. Future Shop extended warranty is transferrable. If in doubt ask the seller to quote the clause regarding transferrability, or scan and send you a copy of the warranty.
