Have at it, folks!

http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshoplightroom/

Note that for complete compatibility, you will need Photoshop CS5 with Bridge CS5 and ACR 6.1.

I will only upgrade if the adjustment brush has been upgraded to do noise reduction.

Download the trial - it will give you 30 more days to think about it.

I need a more powerful machine when doing the masking, but I'll still get it. I've been using the Beta version for 4 months now, and it is a great tool that produces great results.

I can't upgrade right now anyway - I'm still on Tiger :)

I have to upgrade to Sneaky Cheetah or something like that before I can upgrade to LR 3 and/or PS CS5 :D

If I move to LR3, does that mean I need to migrate all my LR2.x catalog/presets to LR3? Or will it do this automatically with an update?

Did you install it directly over the existing one or did you uninstall the 2.7 first?

Officially works alongside any previous installations, reads old catalogues and settings. You can uninstall old LR without affecting new

I think I'm going to wait till I'm back in school before applying for student pricing. 79 bucks vs. 299.

Just to be clear - both versions remian in this instance? Does LR 3.0 reference all of you old catologs or do you need to import them?

Cool. You can buy the upgrade from 1.x/2.x to 3.0 for $99.US from Adobe.com

Both stay side-by-side
LR3 uses your old catalogues, it will maintain all adjustments and settings from the old catalogue, except for beta ones. Once you install LR3 it asks you which catalogue to use. LR3 catalogue cannot be used back in LR2 though

Thanks. Do you know if there is an option to do an in place upgrade and replace LR2 with LR3?

Nope, there isn't, all you have to do is install LR3 and launch it, tell it to use your existing catalogue from LR2, close it and only then uninstall LR2

When you say "This baby" - are you referring to LR3?

Where do you see $79 I only see $89 and $10 is $10 after all when you are a student!
