Does anyone here have a 3rd party GPS add on for the DLSR? I've been thinking of getting one and was wondering what people's experiences are with them. The main reason I'm looking at 3rd party ones is because their cheaper and Nikon's GPS doesn't work with the D300.

I picked up the DawnTech a couple of years ago. For a while it never left my camera. I still use it but only when traveling.

Wouldn't hestitate to buy one again woudl even liek to upgrade as I believe the newer ones also have the direction as well.

The only complaint I have with is the clip to hold it on the hot shoe is plastic and it broke. I need to glue it to fix it, wish they made it metal.

BTW, the Nikon unit is compatible witgh the D300.
