I went tent camping last week end (You don't need to tell me it was cold). And I had my D200 malfunctioning on Sunday morning. When turned on, it behaved like its dedicated ISO button was pressed - top LCD showed ISO sign and its value, and adjusting the wheel was changing the ISO value. Needless to say, that ISO button wasn't pressed or stacked. The camera didn't allow to change anything else. In some cases (more often than not), the viewfinder was showing same information. And no picture could be taken.
But in some cases, the viewfinder was actually showing its normal layout, and I could take a single picture, after which the camera went to "ISO setting" mode.
Truth to be told, that I let some water drips on the camera body a night before, when trying to rich farther into a melting icy formation.
After sitting in dry and warm environment for a couple of hours after I came home, the camera was operating normally.
It actually reminded me about a very similar situation in Porto Rico tropical forest last November, where camera behaved exactly same way.

Which brings me to a question - which environmental protection do you use with your cameras? Especially, in high humidity environment.

That's the event leading to the camera malfunctioning.

As they say, don't try this at home.

Sorry to hear about your camera! And just so you know - I went winter camping back in January! It was colder... :)

Water + Electronics - Weather Seal = Bad

Try Camera Armor.
