Picked up an E-30 and 14-54 II today along with the Zuiko 17 pancake for my G1. Then headed out to the Island for the RESS frosh BBQ.

400 shots in, it's a pretty darn nice camera but I'm going to need a faster AF-ing telephoto than my 40-150 for some of the stuff I'm shooting

That came out of left field. I thought the verdict was a700 or k7, with the k7 winning.

Aside from your m43 stuff, have you owned 4/3 before? On the other hand, if you haven't shot with it before, you can claim to have owned into every current dslr system.

I've owned two 4/3rds lenses for my G1 already, the 25 pancake (nice but not nice enough to justify it for the G1, it's a better choice for the E-series bodies where it actually is a pnacake) and hte 40-150 f4-5.6 (One of the best cheap telezooms I've ever seen).

The E-30 is my first 4/3rds body.

And I chose it over the A700 and K-7 based on system concerns. It's simply a better choice as a second body to my G1 than a body in another system would be because of lens and flash compatibility.

Sorry I missed this first time around. Next time we have an Oly meet, give my 50-200 F2.8-3.5 SWD a try. It's the obvious step up from the 40-150, in the Zuiko range.
