Hey all,

Anyone heard of the Westcott Magic Slipper (Mounting Plate Adapter for a Shoe Mount Flash & Softbox, by Bruce Dorn)

I noticed a TO photographer shooting with this cool gadget last week. I would love to get this item for weddings but the price is CRAZY.

Anyone know of a DIY trick for this or maybe a cheap place to get one made?

photoflex has one similar called a litedome xs. it pretty much does the same thing. b&h sells a kit with it for ~120US if I recall correctly

henrys has the photoflex Q39 xs too, i think its cheaper too. however you need to buy the L plate for the flash separately. (still totals for less than the wescott offering)
