Hi,
Can you tell me which store in Toronto sells Sanyo Eneloop batteries? I used several types of batteries and found Eneloops very good ones. And have you seen somewhere here the Technoline charger, which is quite popular in Europe? If not, is there some similar charger here?
Regards.

"The Source" sells Eneloop batteries (they have both online and physical retail spaces): http://www.thesource.ca/estore/Product. ... ct=2318235

With regard to the charger you mentioned, I ordered a similar one online from Thomas Distributing: http://thomasdistributing.com/shop/la-c ... n5nnsv1vf7[/url]

Thank you guys! I mainly prefer "physical" stores. I'll check the Source.

Canada Computers sell old Eneloop batteries dated in 2006. It's still good, but it doesn't have a full charge capacity. PC brand rechargeable batteries are apparently Eneloops.

I'd avoid getting the batteries dated 2006. All rechargeable batteries have a finite shelf life, regardless if it's been used or not.

apparently only the "white Top" Duracells are eneloops, and the black tops are not.

I was looking at some Duracells which are 2650mAh, but if they are the same as eneloops, which are only 2100mAh. Is Duracell marketing their batteries to have more power when it really does not?

on mine the info stated there are ones of different power. The Costco ones were the lower 2100mAh IIRC.

To the OP, I can get these batteries at cost from Sanyo. Price is $14.65 + taxes for 8 AA 2000mah Eneloops. Receipt included with every purchase.

PM me.

Sorry, I was mistaken. The Enloopes are only 2000mAh. Even more of a difference from the Duracell's 2650mAh. May just buy from the US which has AA batteries at 2900mAh.

The higher energy ones are not of the hybrid type, and will self-discharge in a couple of months. The beauty of the Eneloops is that you can leave them un-used for a few months, and they still hold their charge.

I bought Rayovac hybrids from WAL-mart I think. I used them in my logitech remotes. They are great.

The Duracells to look for are labeled "Pre-Charged" Rechargebles and are actually rated at 2000mah. I have a few sets or the Duracells and also some of the Eneloops, and find the same performance from each.

Darn, Dell is out of stock and the Source downtown doesn't carry Eneloops.
Canada Computers are out of stock in almost every location.

Anywhere else except Costco?

*edit* - my bad, it looks like CC has some 2 packs available.

yeah, I saw that too. But if you click through and "add to card and checkout", the order is processed...

I hope I get my batteries.

I know, my batteries don't tend to sit un-used for to long. I just need more power out of them.

I have several sets of 2600mAh's from Tigerdirect, and several sets of Eneloops/Hybrids (I have Sony, Sanyo, Rayovac & Duracell).

If I'm doing a wedding, then I charge up the 2600's the night before, otherwise you'll actually lose 15-20% of the charge within a few days. But otherwise, it's the hybrids most of the time.

Are there any other hybrid version that has a higher mAh rating than the 2000mAh Enloops?

FYI, Canada HiFi at 657 Yonge St. (next to the Panasonic Theatre) carries Enloops.

I've heard nothing but really great reviews on the Mahas. I didn't even know you could buy 'em in Canada. Good to know! Thanks for the link.
