The fact the guy drove and delivered it to my workplace also factored a lot into that decision. Thanks WKHC. =p

Hey how come you get special service! I had to meet him at the Timmy in Mississauga! Not fair! Plus the fact that you got the last of the 3 that he sold means it is probably the best one!

I think he didn't want to wait till Saturday, which was when I could meet with him if it was in Missisauga.

And actually, I thought the first one to be sold would be the best one.

Granted, I almost think he didn't actually open my box. Everything was still in its wrapper.

Wow.

I think you have a gearahol problem.. the first step is admitting it.

It's funny because I did an inventory of my stuff a little while ago, and found that I have an unhealthy amount of gear. For someone who does not make a living with the gear, it's boarder on insanity.

Time to trim down, I think.

GummieBear I think I've seen a LOT more than this list on your pbase gallery.. hiding the extent of your addiction is one of the warning signs of addiction!

Canon 5D classic
Canon EOS/Elan 100

EF 24-105mm f4L IS
EF 80-200mm f2.8L
EF 70-210mm f4(selling anyday)
EF 50mm f1.8 mkII

Sigma 20mm f1.8 mkII

Humble list, I'm just a hobbyist, taking shots of the kids and family events. That should stay pretty much the same now, just want to add an old crop body to act as a TC, probably an XSi or 40D.

I'd love to get a bigger one like yours, as I often run out of space for some elongated objects. However, folding it and storing it after shoots will be a PITA as I don't have much free space in my basement :(

speaking about folding, after using it first day yesterday.. it took us (3 guys) to figure out how to fold it for an hour, the video from lastolite made it look so friggen easy to fold!

however, storing the 48'x48' lightbox is pretty easy once it was fold in the bag!

that blue thing is the lightbox in the bag :)

I've got a 24" on order from B&H that uses an aluminum frame and somehow manages to use 26" roll paper(?). I'll likely leave it permanently set up somewhere.

Thanks for the info! I looked it up on Vistek, and I didn't realize you bought a packaged (all in one) set. That's really cool! 8).. Something for me to consider.

If that's an "entry level" strobe, I don't wanna know how much a high-end set costs :P
