So I have now had the Dell U2410 monitor for a few weeks and I really have to say that I am loving it. It is big and beautiful. The 24" screen is clean edge to edge with no bright or dead pixels and no colour casting near the edges/corners common with most other monitors I have viewed. I suppose this is another advantage of the ips technology. It can cleanly be viewed from any angle. It shows all of the colours in my photos vividly and correctly as well as it has enhanced most gradations in all of my photos with extra tones I had never seen on screen before.

The only issues I have had at all are that it was a bit tricky to calibrate perfectly but I just recalibrated it over itself two or three times to get it perfect. This was a very minor issue and only took about 45minutes of finagling to figure out. It also runs a bit hot but I keep it in a well maintained temperature controlled room so it isn't a problem for me. I would not recommend the use of it in a hot environment at all as it would just blow.

So over all I would rate this monitor an 8.5/10 just due to how hot it runs and the small calibration issue I experienced

At that price I highly recommend this monitor to everyone looking to get the most bang for your buck on a fantastic monitor. However you will need a proper calibrator as out of the box it was not the most accurate. I am now using the Color Munki by X-Rite and it is fantastic. I have calibrated my U2410 and my MacBook pro to be exactly the same. Also got all of my papers profiled for my printer so everythig is accurate and equal. If looking at buying this monitor make sure you are somewhere the is climate controlled also, as it does run hot, but otherwise it is really awesome.
