I just bought a Matin LCD Screen Protector for my T1i. But Im thinking that I should hold out and get a glass GGS one if I can find it in Toronto.

As far as materials go, which is better? Are they both the same? Will one have less glare than the other? Will one protect better than the other?

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I just get some cheap PDA screen protectors (ie.: Fellowes) and cut them to size. It does have a slight impact on the image quality but for all I need to see, the histogram, this is good enough for me.

The glass Canon uses for the LCD screen is pretty resilient. I've never had any protector on my cameras and so far no scratches but YMMV.

Me too. I've never protected my 30D and it is scratch-free after 5 years. And it's been on beaches and deserts.
Not sure if it will degrade after the effects on too much oil from my beak. But so far, so good.
