Look who's joined the coffee mug band wagon...

http://nikonrumors.com/2010/06/03/you-k ... ors.com%29

Looks a heck of a lot more detailed than the Canon 70-200 f4 mug that I got sitting on my desk.

Oh wonder how long this will last before Nikon sends out a cease and desist as it doesn't look like a product endorsed/made by Nikon themselves.

Imagine trying to poor coffee into the wrong place, ie: the actual lens itself! oops!

:)

Or try to mount the cup onto your body.
perhaps fill the cup with water and freeze it to ice and try to take pics? F0.8?

great - now I'll get yelled at by the wife for putting my REAL lenses on the coffee table without a coaster.

Isn't the 70-200 VRII weather-sealed? =p

On a regular note, is it just me, or does the 24-70 look like it's just a cup (ie. no metal lining for hot liquids).

I'd have to agree.... doesn't exactly look like the kind of container I'd carry around for scolding hot liquids.

lol

I remember showing my wife an ebay posting by Henrys which was around $200 usd for the Canon 70-200mm mug (thieves!) and one time I brought out a real 70-200 (she doesn't really know what lenses I have) and she's like "What you bought that mug?!". Instinctually, I replied "no no don't worry, uh.. it's um the real thing". She gave me this mad look and asked how much did that cost? I think I darted quickly behind the sofa.
