I am looking to purchase a white box that will fit eyeglasses in to them for product shots. I know they can be made, but work doesn't want to pay me to make a box, but to use it :p

anyone know what they are called? I tried light box and nothing comes up at vistek or bnh.

here's mine... 4"x4", i picked it up from vistek to shoot one of my client's products...

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/ste823/4509447815/" title="20100411_0012 by StE823, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2082/4509447815_d061b32ffd.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="20100411_0012"></a>

http://vistek.ca/store/ProPhotoLastolit ... -4-ft.aspx

but if you shoot glasses, i think a 2"x2" should be enough.. but beware of the reflections tho!

FYI, feet is a single quote as in 4', inches is a double quote 4".

Personally I have a 16"x16" that I bought (with lights) for $20 at Factory Direct, but they don't carry it anymore...TigerDirect carries it, but they sell it for $92!

it does not :( i have to cut the background out from a roll of background i got from henrys..
but it is really portable tho, i use to DIY a 2.5'x2.5' box but i just can't carry it around and it looks ghetto for client shoots when i do it in their places..

In addition there are MANY plans online for home made light boxes/tents. Some examples:

http://www.studiolighting.net/homemade-light-box-for-product-photography/

http://www.pbase.com/wlhuber/light_box_light_tent

http://www.cheapshooter.com/2007/07/26/do-it-yourself-pvc-light-box/

http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/07/how-to-diy-10-macro-photo-studio.html

http://www.jbwebdev.com/blog/homemade-lightbox/

and LOTS more by doing a search for HOMEMADE LIGHT BOX, and as well substituting TENT for BOX.
