I went to this once a few years ago and it really kind of blew. A lot of overpriced junk and not a great selection. A lot of gear sold in lots, some pretty obscure. Not sure if this one will be any better with the inventory from Intl Camera. There's much more selection/opportunity at the Woodbridge and Thornhill shows IMHO.

I got a nikon bellows with a 135mm lens for $10. If I remember correctly he had a few nice Rollei kits and a basement full of spare parts. But like all auctions it will depend on the bidders.

Presuming all the good stuff was already cleared out, the basement is a write off. When I was poking around down there it was quite the sight. Some stuff might still have been uncovered but doubt it and there was only one more day before he had to vacate. Did find a not bad looking SX 70 in the pile though ;)

I think there will be enough stuff at the auction to make it worth the trip. Hope Stan makes it there for the auction.

As for The Big One, usually a good day but I have found lately that some of the sellers don't get the idea of the show and have disdain if not a hostile attitude to those who try and bargain. Why bother showing up ? Clint has done a great job taking in feedback from everyone and applying it to the shows.

the guy who is running the auction is a regular at the PHSC camera shows and I am willing to bet that ALL of the good stuff has been bought off by him and his friends (which will be resold to the public at the next show)...

if this auction is like the last one I attended, gear will be put into boxes and sold in lots... they'll throw in a decent/desirable piece in a box but you'll have to buy the entire lot to get it...

have fun!

I was in there a little over a month ago, and he didn't have much great/notable stuff left.
