As nice as this sounds with new lens technologies, I can't help but think about lens depreciation.

Not exactly revolutionary pitch, yaw and roll sensors have been used in aircraft auto pilots and robotics have been using the angular sensors for about 40 years. It should considerably improve image stabilization at the expense of double the amount of components and 9 times the calculations. The question is how much will the cost increase.

Not exactly revolutionary. Pentax's SR system has had this capability since introduction and has (finally) enabled it in limited fashion on the K7.

Lol so I'm not the only one with resentment about something new and improved coming out that I don't already own. Regardless of the features history it's somthing that will fuel blogs and reviews and better Canons already great glass.

Those with sufficient income will enjoy the increased performance before the rest of us and no doubt fuel even more resentment. It's such a love hate relationship.

Too bad Canon did not implement image shift stabilization on the sensor, while leaving angular motion stabilization in the lens (which is what their existing IS does). But then again, I suppose they can charge a premium on the hybrid IS lenses now.
