2010 Cabbagetown Festival

sure that isn't a Hindu Festival?

Why do you say so ....

Cabbagetown festival is multi-cultural and this is part of the festival so I'm sure the title is correct. Other then that I'm not in any position to comment on the religion of the participants I would hazard a guess that they are not Roman Catholics.

Just a guess. I've seen a few Hindu parades down Yonge street. One involving an elephant - I saw elephant imagery in the photo. The people are, to my eyes, Tamils. The Tamils are mostly Hindus. One of them is holding a vessel that I saw at many Hindu ablutions in Varanasi.
However - It could be a Sinhalese parade. The vast majority of Sinhalese are Theravada Buddhists. But this doesn't resonate with anything I saw in Buddhist Thailand or Bali.

I hope the 2010 is more then a ghost of the first couple

By 3am 2008 just drunks everywhere very disappointing

2009 was a bit better but still not enough of the public areas were interactive gathering places more of a lineup and view event.
