I believe this was a 45 minute exposure. It was shot on a rocky ledge at Grundy Lake provincial park several years ago (2007). The light polution on the horizon to the left is Sudbury.

This is as many stars as I think it's possible to get without a tracker. Or at least I think.

This was shot on a cold, dry, clear Autumn night, deep in the mountains (miles of dirt roads, then miles more of old logging roads and 4wd trails)

Then, shooting out the window of a 747 at about 3am local time over the North Atlantic, just south of Iceland.

And finally, an hour later (roughly 4am) shooting the first hint of sunrise off the east coast of Iceland
