2004 or 2005, I have owned my first dSLR only a few weeks. Not really sure what is right from wrong in manual modes, learning as I go.
It's Halloween night, it has just got dark enough to go out and start Trick'nTreating. My girl and nephew are in a big hurry to get out and start.
Of course I pull out my new camera, I need a picture before you go. They are in a rush to go, I'm in a rush to take the pic. The camera is in AV mode, I had no idea of how AV exposes at night. I had flash on.
Soon as the flash goes off, my girl is leaving, I call out to wait, as I can tell the by sound, the picture isn't finished. She left, he stayed and waited.

Anyhow, this is the result, I love how this photo came out. Even though acquired by accident.

Accidental was a poor choice of words, it was a newbie mistake. Incorrect settings got me this photo. While an error in settings, its still one of my fav's.
I'll try and edit topic.
Reading it over, accidental doesn't sound right.

edit: I cannot edit original post now, only this one, could a mod please change to - "Newbie mistakes that worked out". :?

Accidental shot in that I wasn't expecting the Double Decker bus to stop in front of my camera while doing this long exposure of Big Ben; but I like the end result.

I see huge potential for this capture though, something like a fantasy scene if processed properly!

Yeah, I see that too but my processing skills in such ways are limited. Suggestions? As posted it is pretty close to SOOC.
