I agree with potatoeye.
shuttershutter - do what the pros do: Use the Liquify tool and use rotational blur to hide the hexagons

I'm hoping that this was a light-hearted comment
In my defense I am brand new to shooting in sunlight I've only ever really shot seriously in the dark at gigs. So I'd appreciate it if I could post in the threads freely.

I think I take darn good photos for having had my d90 (my first camera ever) for about two years and only working with a 50mm lens 99% of the time. I'm always trying to improve technically but that is definitely not all photography is about for me. I'm trying to find my voice right now and that's far more important to me than a hexagon shaped bokeh dot in one of my photographs. I'm new to shooting in sun and I'm learning. I'd have appreciated the comment if it had been constructive in some way.

I wouldn't have to worry about it on here if I weren't receiving negative comments.

stop looking at them as negative and they won't be, because they aren't

No negative comments here. I think everyone is piping in with non-threatening sarcastic banter. I know less about taking a good photo than you do. I think 99.9% of the world don't know if circular or hexagonal bokeh is better. I suspect 99.8% don't even know what bokeh is.

Exactly, especially in light of the other thread about the bokeh. All the comments were light hearted. I suspect it's just a lack of familiarity with some of the posters that's resulted in a misread of the intent of the post.
