Details:

What: Presqu'ile Park Warblers and Whimbrels Weekend
When: Sat May 17 2014
Time: 6:00 AM
Where: Lighthouse parking lot inside Presqu'ile park
Bring: Camera, tripod, long lens, close up or macro, park fees


It is that time of year again :)

This is the weekend that the "Friends of Presqui'le" do their bird banding program.
They will have guide walks around the area and will point out and identify various birds.
Also in the surrounding woods there may be trilliums, trout lillies and other wild flowers.
They usually have a BBQ at the light house later on.
The program runs from 6:00 till 4:00PM.
There are also some beautiful walking trails here.

The park is approx 145km from Toronto. About 1h45min to 2h.

Weather is looking good for next weekend so it should be a good outing.
And for people who don't want to shoot birds, Presquille has lots of other photo opportunities too.
We have seen deer and reptiles and insects and then lots of landscape and beach photos too.

I was going to choose the 10am button today... then a Check Engine Light turned on yesterday :(

I'm around 60% right now...

Another beautiful day at Presquille :)
It was a little chilly but still lots of people came out. The leaves are very late coming out this year which allowed us
some spectacular views of birds building their nests and caring for their young.
The new board walk through Jobes Woods has been completed and is a nice walk.
Supper at Vito's in Brighton was tasty as always.

Thanks to Richard, Charlene, Sushant, Trish, Daryll and Helena for joining me.
hope everyone had a good time and look forward to seeing the photos.
Hope nothing serious wrong with your car Ben.

Exhaust flap replaced. Turns out the nail in the tyre has been keeping it inflated, so it gets replaced tomorrow.

Fortunately all under warranty.
