My signup is tentative, since I am not sure if the email transfer worked. If someone else wants the spot, PM me and I will let you know if I have to cancel due to a failed email transfer.

If there is anyone who wants to go but couldn't get a spot, can you PM me? There is a possibility I may have to work on the weekend (computer problems at work). I will only give up my spot if I know for sure that I have to work, but can keep you informed.

As the first of "the rest", I'm glad you all had a good time. Turns out I might have made it after all, but it would have been two hours too late :P

Eastern Screech Owl
Image

Little info about it from Wiki..

The Eastern Screech Owl or Eastern Screech Owl (Megascops asio) is a small owl that is relatively common in Eastern North America, from Mexico to Canada.
Adults range from 16 to 25 cm (6.3–10 in) in length and weigh 121-244 grams (4.3-8.6 oz).[3] The wingspan can range from 46 to 61 cm (18 to 24 in). They have either rusty or dark gray intricately patterned plumage with streaking on the underparts. Mid-sized by screech-owl standards, these birds are stocky, short-tailed and broad-winged. They have a large round head with prominent ear tufts, yellow eyes and a yellowish bill. Rusty birds are more common in the southern parts of the range; pairings of the two color variants do occur. A pale gray variation also exists in western Canada and the north-central United States. The color variations are referred to as "red morph" and "gray morph" by bird watchers and ornithologists.

They are strictly nocturnal, roosting during the day in cavities or next to tree trunks. They are quite common, and can often be found in residential areas. However, due to their small size and camouflage, they are much more frequently heard than actually seen. These owls are frequently heard calling at night, especially during their spring breeding season. Despite their name, this owl (nor most "screech-owls") doesn't truly screech. The Eastern Screech Owl's call is an eerie tremolo with a descending, whinny-like quality, and also a monotone purring trill lasting 3–5 seconds.

Ben...we were very quick this time shoot and got out, since it was chilly....
Yea two hours is little late.

We were hoping to have a snow owl but that's not one of their birds which is available for shooting.

It costed $178 which includes tax as well.
So If you team up with 5 it will be 35 each and that's what we did.

I haven't had a chance to do this shoot in the snow yet.
Would anyone else be interested in booking a shoot once we have some snow?
