I screwed up the timing OR the Zombie officials weren't very clear about when things are starting. I blame them. Anyway, the zombie parade does not start until 3PM, therefore we are not meeting at 11AM!!!. More updates to this event are coming shortly as I(we) sort out what is the what.

If memory serves correct, I think the parade has always happened way after the event "starts".

I'm hoping to attend but it depends on the weather.

Usually loads of good/bad (depends on your take on zombies) shots to be had even before the parade starts.

Even after the parade ends you will see them hanging out in the Nathan Philips square area.

Probably very close to Nathan Philips Square. The shift in time has created a mild scheduling issue plus I've been asked to do a talk at U of T slightly before the event so I'm doing some juggling. More soon. I figure most are waiting on the weather to decide so my last minute shuffling isn't too inconvenient. Regardless, my apologies for the lack of firm details.

No problem.

How about the stairs of the old courthouse across the street?

It's close by, and gives people a place to sit down and there's no way anyone can miss it.

If the natural rooftop of the city hall is open it would be an awesome meeting place/vantage point to shoot (fend off) zombies

Bah! The forecast I'm looking at currently has gusts to only 63km/h...yeah...the zombies are a dedicated bunch but this is beginning to sound like a system that will kill the undead. A plan will still be put in place but watch this space for updates regarding weather cancellations.

Not sure if it is open. I think they only open it during Open Doors and when the Ford brothers need to smoke a joint.

No, I went up there beyond doors open. I think it's open daily now, maybe until 6pm though

Ok, so ions has asked that I schedule the meet time/place and if the weather holds out, great.

Meet time will now be 2pm at the old city hall steps as suggested above. If we want to wander towards the natural roof top as a group we can decide once we have most people. Parade starts at 3pm at which time we will walk north with them to Gerard and then cut across to yonge st and scope out a good spot. Then we can catch the whole parade coming towards us. Once people get enough we can head back to the end point of the parade, shoot a bit more and then head for noms.

Are most people on the list bailing? If we could get an updated idea of who is coming it would be helpful! The weather does look pretty bad at this point...cold, wind, and rain are not my fav either!

Actually, they say close to 1mm of rain for afternoon, morning is wet. Seems like it might still work out, despite the wind. I am most likely coming out.

Luggage. If the weather changes and I myself am not the walking dead I'll join u guys.

Since I'm not working today, and need to go downtown in the morning anyway, I still plan on coming.

Still planning on coming unless it starts pouring. I'll be downtown with my equipment anyway.

You should edit the original post to say the correct meeting time

All the weather radar sites are suggesting that the rain should let up in the next hour or so.
