I work right near the meetup location.....but honestly with the lack of enthusiasm from others... I will probably cancell this meetup. Unless we get more people between now and tomorrow.

I'll keep watching this site, in the hope there is more enthusiasm.

Vicious circle: I'm not gonna commit unless there's more enthusiasm - Unless there's more enthusiasm I'm not hosting an event. The only direction that cycle can go is down.

I wish I could do this, but there is no way I would get downtown until at least 7:30pm.

You could always meet us along the way. All we need is a couple of cell phone numbers.

Just finished one of two race weekends -- the sun really packs a punch these days. Not sure what my energy level will be for Wednesday...

I will prob just limit myself to my 14, 18 & 35mm lenses. Ditch the extra weight. Even a mirrorless camera with a bunch of lenses can start to get your shoulder sore after a few hours.

Good point, well then it would be 7:30pm if I did compensate. I that would only give me only about an hour and a half before sunset. So I think I'll have to adjust so I could out at the same local time :)

Janet - we will probably shoot until it gets dark, and find a pub somewhere to rest before heading back to cars and things.

In that case, I can try to meet you after work. I'll text you before going into the subway at York Mills to try to find out which direction you have headed (where to exit the subway).

I was surprised to see the El Cobongo (Mocambo) is still there. And sounds much like the old days...a Stevie Ray Vaughn show on Fri...although he's been dead for a while now...so I don't know how that'll work. SRV wannabees ? Everything else I recall is pretty much gone. In the seventies, the Jews moved north and the Chinese moved in & transformed the entire area. Both were (are) great, just totally different. And nobody eats more Chinese food per capita than the Jewish population. Not even the Chinese :)

I'll TRY to find you, although it will be late. David, I will try texting you before getting to the subway, to figure out the best place to exit the subway; I should be able to check for an answer about 15 minutes later, as there is signal at Rosedale station.

You're quite right...not racist one bit. First of all, I'm a Jew. Second, everything I said is a fact & was stated as such with no malice whatsoever. What are u ? A politically correct zombie ? Get a brain.

My direct route would normally be 407 to 404. But if I go the 401 route, Pickering would be my connect point. But Ajax isn't far from Pickering, so I could go down Lakeridge to Ajax. Sounds like a good idea. I guess I need some details re time & specific place to meet. My private email is : barrythehorrible@live.ca.

I have no tolerance for anyone who posts racist comments, generalizing about entire races of people.
Trying to justify it later or saying no malice was intended is meaningless.
And then you go on the offensive for having it pointed out? Ignorance.

I have no patience for idiots, so this will be my final response to you. You are clearly not worth wasting another moment on. Bye bye now.

Looking like rain this afternoon - but supposed to clear by 6pm. If its raining cats and dogs, we might want to reconsider - I'll bring my umbrella just in case.

I'll have to gamble & leave by around 4pm since I am so far from there. Plus I wanna grab something to eat, so I hope rain is small & short.
