Address and directions will be sent closer to the time by PM, since this is private property. It is in the general area of Milton/Guelph.

I want to offer $5.00/person to the owner in return for allowing us to shoot on his property. For those who aren't familiary with this location, it is an auto wreckers, and there are lots of rusty old cars that have been there for years (or decades), and have trees and plants growing around or in them. It is very interesting to shoot there.

I did post a feeler regarding the date in the feeler section. I am going to put a limit of 20 people on this event; however I am going to hold back spots for those who posted in the feeler that they would be available on this date (Jordan, Daryl, hongr). I will open those spots up once those people register. I did decide to go with April 29 rather than May 13, since I hadn't initially clued in to the fact that May 13 is Mother's Day, so my afternoon commitment in Guelph will likely not happen that day (I like to do 2 things in the same direction on the same day).

If we get to use the waiting list then, and if you are on the Yes list but need to cancel please PM the first person on the waiting list so they can have first refusal on your space. If a spot opens up, please allow the first person on the waiting list to take that spot.

Since I need to let the owner know the numbers a few days before, if the signup list is not full as of April 24, I will close the registration at that point. If it is full, I can just tell him we have 20 people.

I would also suggest some boots if there is any chance of rain as most of the cars are located in large fields that can be very muddy if it is wet. It is also a great place to take a wide angle lens for some fun if you have one. It is a great place for photography.

I called today to confirm our numbers. Since the owner is concerned about having enough space for all of the cars, I would like to suggest meeting at the carpool lot at Hwy. 401/Guelph Line at 8:30am, and amalgamating vehicles there. For those that already have a full vehicle, you can certainly meet us at McLean's instead. Just let me know that you are going to meet us there, and I can PM you directions. Even if you already know where you are going, I would still like to know who is going to meet us there (driver AND passengers), so that the rest of us aren't needlessly waiting for someone at the carpool lot.

Those directions don't need to be sent privately. Go west on Hwy. 401 to Guelph Line, and then south on Guelph Line. It should be well marked (I haven't used this carpool lot myself).

I do intend to return to the carpool lot after shooting at McLean's to collect the extra cars (ie before going for lunch), since I have another commitment in Guelph at 2:00pm, so I will need to go directly from lunch to my other commitment. Does anyone have any suggestions for lunch locations close to the Guelph Line/401 exit or in/near Guelph?

I will be meeting you there as I live north of the meeting place and coming from a different direction.

I can meet you at the carpool lot as I have 3 spots in my car. Also, I can pickup people at SquareOne.

If anyone needs a ride and can get to the Clarkson go station, pm me as I'll be coming up from there and meeting up at the car pool lot.

Whichever is easiest for you. If you don't know where McLean's is, it might be easier to follow someone, although the directions are pretty simple. If you do go to McLean's, can you let me know who you have so we don't wait for your passenger at the carpool lot.

Where is Maclean's? I'll be coming from Guelph, so if the carpool lot is not on the way I would rather head directly there if possible. If space is a problem I can ride my motorcycle...

I was planning on going direct to McLeans. I can collect along the 401 west from the 427 if you would rather leave your car nearer the city. I have room for two to allow for comfort and gear.

Is there anyone willing to offer a ride for someone coming from the East end of the city? I'm around Main & Danforth but I can meetup at some other convenient location.
