Update:

Ok. More details.

Most likely session will take place on May 20th.
May 27th is a long weekend and Im sure most of You will have some plans.
Exact date and time will be known by the end of this week as we are in the middle of booking process.

Studio:
LXH - http://lightxhevvy.com/wordpress/rentals/

Models:
Natasha - http://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/1896893/viewall
Karolina - http://www.modelmayhem.com/2380011

Mua - Our Make-up artist does not have online portfoilio but she is a professionall

So as I wrote before we will have 2 different light setups:
4 light setup with white background and
hollywood light setup with black background

As soon as the studio will be booked i will post the details and start collecting the payments.
If the session will take place on May 20th all payments must be made by May 14th.

General stuff:
Do not take 10 lenses or more. The studio space is big but simple portrait lenses will do the job.
Simply bring your camera and favorite lens.
Make sure you clean your lenses before the shoot.

Whoever will get to the location as the last person, DO NOT forget to bring the coffee :)

Thats it for now.

Greg

This is not an accusation, or a warning, but remember that TPMG members have a right to ask models/MUAs how much they're being paid. Can you provide a cost breakdown for what that $60 ($300 for 5 people) offers?

Sound weird that i have to explain where those money will go. But since You insist:
-studio rental
-transportation ( looking for the right studio - gas isn't for free )

Plus the fact that i will supply all the lighting and backdrops. Im putting my time and good will just to organize this session. If someone wants to check where i will spend those money, be my gest, you have models and studio links. feel free to call them ect. And if your calculations will show that i will make 10$ on that session -
Nobody is forcing anybody to participate.

It's not weird that people want to know where the money they are spending is going. This is for a couple reasons: the first is TPMG is a social club that is not a platform for any one person or organization to make financial gain. This is something that we are enforcing. TPMG is not a platform for people to make money by providing tutorials. The second reason is the people who are attending an event such as this may want to learn how to set such things up for various valid reasons. The costs of such things, including the parts you have mentioned are all important and those attending need to be aware of them. You are correct, it takes time and good will to put on events, this is the cost for an organizer that is not paid back financially.

For the record I don't think your cost is outlandish nor was I accusing you, as I stated. For the events to be as informative as possible they need to be transparent in all that is required to organize them. I posted the above message to let those signing up know that they can ask such questions. I do not see how transparency is a problem. In an effort to keep this event on topic please post questions or concerns related to this policy in the appropriate places or PM me or another moderator.

$300 for 4 hours and two models seems very, very reasonable, but transparency about costs is paramount. I know studio cost can easily exceed this amount especially when you consider equipment rental costs. If you need any assistance in getting gear or a studio please let me know and I can help, I have resources available to me and know of a number of studios (though really $300 for models, rental AND studio is hard to get)

Shouldn't the folks on the maybe list get first right of refusal for the open spots?

Should we also set a deadline as to when people need to pay by, now that there are open spots? That way, in case people do not make their payments in time, the rest of us can make alternative plans ahead of time if the workshop doesn't take place.
Giero, maybe you can pm those on the 'maybe' list to see if they're still interested?

Hey everyone,

Its been crazy time with all the people who shoved interest in workshops, putting their names on YES list and then simply resign or didnt pay.
As for know i have received payments from:

Eddy
Fakegod
Mohan

Anyway, the session is on Go, so dont worry if someone will not pay or resign, no matter what we are going to shoot some models on this sunday.

Hope to see all of you at the place

Greg

giero, please let the admins/mods know if someone says yes and backs out without providing a good reason, preferably in advance. Flaking out like that can be a huge inconvenience for people trying to set up events and those attending. We want to track this behaviour and make sure there are repercussions. If someone flakes out from a pay event they can be banned from future pay events or even the site altogether.

Remember people, TPMG events do not make organizers money and it takes time and effort to put them together. Please respect event organizers and doing what you say you're going to.
