What: Beginners Strobist Workshop
When: Sat March 31 2012
Time: 5.30Pm -7.30 pm (Optional Bite after)
Where: Cheery Beach Toronto,Life Guard Station
Bring: Camera (Flash,Wireless triggers and Umbrella stand ...If you have these great if not no problem am sure others who come will have)

About the Event:

I am aiming to have 8 people in total, who will be divided into two groups of 4 each, with two separate lighting setups. We are going to shoot each other in different styles of portraits. I personally like to do action or jump shots where we catch people completely lit up in the air; maybe a kind of sequence jumps.

There are no set rules, so anything the team wants is fine with me. This is a very basic introduction to flash photography, you don't have to be an expert of any sort to be a part of this event. We are here purely to try to learn how to use the ambient light and fill it with flash lights, and also have fun at the same time.

Getting our hands on different lighting setups makes us familiar with our gear and gives us good first hand experience with an opportunity to learn from others. I am by no means an expert at this, but if you are an expert please signup so we can learn from you.

Please note: I don't have permission for this location ( It's a public beach). If we get kicked out, we get kicked out, maybe we can go to a park nearby or something.

This is an Example of a similar setup which was shot last year in Queen street
