What : Photo walk to Kensington Market
Where : Starts in Queen and Bay Tim Hortons (Tims is located right next to Hakim Optics or the second building)
When : 17th March 2012 at 3.30 evening
Equipment : From very basic Point and shoot any camera you can carry either film or digital.
MAP : http://tinyurl.com/7uvehn8

 For some, winter is always the time that we stay indoor and process our images (me),
The Weather man predicts this March 17th to be Mainly sunny with +2,
Having sun by our side always makes our day :)

This session is more of a workshop kind, we meet up in Queen and Bay Tim Hortons at 3.30 (located in south west corner )and discus as a group
of what each others expectation from today's walk, What kind of shots do they expect at the end of the day. Some basic camera composition skills.
Some of us can even show some of their previous Photos to the fellow photo hogs and discuss about their picture.
This is not exactly a critique in a forum, Its more of personal view how others feel about your shot. A very much constructive comment.

We start the walk by 4.30 head west from Queen and Bay towards Kensigton market on Queen street and by 6.35 (sunset) we get together for
bite and drink in a nearby pub or Restaurant and we discuss about our shots done today.

Note
1. You don't have to discuss or show your shots this is just optional. I find it sometimes its a eye opening experience to hear what others think about our perspective of shots.

There is not fixed rule of any sort, I would like to welcome any suggestions.

Thank you
Yeshwanth

St Patrick's Day parade is on earlier that day...good opportunity to get in some shooting time before this starts.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade is Sun. Mar. 11, not on the 17th. It usually is the Sunday before St. Patrick's Day.

If you want a rule, we should all go like Yesh: no camera bag. Bring only what you can put in your pockets!

Leery about finding a pub at St. Patrick's day (when all of the amateur drinkers come out).

I hate the fact to carry one on my shoulder all the time...I kind of find it comes in between my photos....
the other fact is If i dont have the option to switch lenses...IT makes my life little easier ...
you got to shoot with what you have....
cheers

~45 feet west of the Starbucks. It's kinda hidden.

Thanks Yeshwanth for setting this up. Weather was ok and had a great time and it was nice to meet some of the new members.
A little hard to find my way home in the fog though :)

Between this photowalk and the last; clearly street photography promotes colour blindness

Where have you been, haven't you heard? Colour is so distracting, so passe, B&W film is the new digital! 8)
