What: Toronto Zoo
When: Sat. Jan. 21
Time: 9:30am
Where: Meet just inside the main entrance

I would like to go to the zoo in the winter, when it is less crowded than the summer. My main interest will be the Tundra Exhibit, which I have not yet seen, and these animals should look natural in a winter setting, and would also like to check out the Canadian Domain. I am certainly open to other suggestions, keeping in mind that the indoor exhibits will cause condensation on lenses.

I believe parking is free at the zoo until the end of February, but I haven't found confirmation of that. Does anyone know about how long the bus from Don Mills takes to get to the zoo? TTC will be my backup plan in case the roads are bad that day.

I've been thinking of a zoo visit too -- but I want to spend a lot of time shooting the arctic wolves and when there is a nice pack of snow on the ground. So I am a maybe for now. We'll see how weather is that day.

Yes parking is free until March

Have not been to the zoo since grade 7 (I believe), so I'm in! Hopefully, there's no changes with the work schedule. Keeping my fingers crossed.

When at the zoo keep in mind the abandoned estate of Valley Halla. Its on the east side of the parking lot just behind the trees.

Yup... I've actually been there a number of years ago with a production company.

I'd like to go but I'd need a ride as the subway doesn't start until 9:00 on Sundays.

Thanks to Janet for organising. It was a great day to be out.

With much encouragement, I did a theme shoot:

See if you can spot the theme: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjydk8cn

I'll probably add more to the theme after I process and scan the roll of film I shot.

Thanks for organizing Janet, it was a great day. We were pretty lucky with the animals and getting to see the tiger get fed. (Poor quails they get eaten by everything).
