I'll bring lots of steel wool, too. And the whisk so we can do multiple pinwheels! Plus a couple of other tricks I've been thinking of for such an occasion.

Please do bring whatever you have in mind! I've got a whisk and two packages of steel wool, I'll also bring another battery and some wire. Make sure you have some kind of old sweater with you, though - someone told me the synthetic fabric in winter jackets melts like snow from the sparks.

I am going to have to bow out. I have been shooting way to much lately and neglecting other things I should be doing. Have fun everyone!

Come on, Jordan. Just because I said I wouldn't light D-girl on fire is no excuse to drop out.

Ok fine - there is no such thing as shooting to much. But I still have other things I need to get done tomorrow!

Click the button at the top of the page that says "Hopefully there is snow". Your name should appear on the list.

Of course you can join us for dinner afterwards. We usually seem to end up at Caseys after the Islands, but give me a call to confirm when and where we go for food.

Despite Yesh's best attempts, no one was set on fire.

Not entirely accurate ... and I still regret I didn't have time to shove his camera into the fire; unfortunately, my eyeballs were on fire and I couldn't see clearly.

A great evening, all! I even got a couple of good shots.

Sorry to have missed the post-immolation dinner. Next time.

Yes, thanks Janet for taking up the reins to complete another great day. Met some more really nice members from TPMG. Dinosaurgirl made my day with her mushrooms, oops I mean marshmallows. Damn I even spell it wrong.

Ah, EXIF says that was with my 85mm AIS lens - although I entered the wrong focal length and it just says it's 80mm. It's a good shot.

How do I upload shots? I tried by selecting 'post reply' and then selecting a file and uploading. Nothing happened - other than getting an 'uploading file' message for about 5 minutes.

Is there a system glitch or have I had too many mushroom marshmallows?

Kabir, I use tinypics.com. You upload your pic files there. When each pic is uploaded the second choice down from the top is the url you copy and paste here. Then the pic will appear.

Given that KAS1234 already uses Flickr, using tinypics is unnecessary additional work.

KAS1234, when you're on Flickr viewing an image you would like to share here, click on the "Share" menu above the image, then copy the URL listed in the "Grab the HTML/BBCode" option (make sure 'BBCode' is selected). Paste that URL into a post on the forums and you're done.
