I can go with whichever venue you can arrange. The Gladstone room you were trying for has a certain attraction (the arch window, stairs, views). What about the following or another weekend? Or should we expect them to be booked for the remainder of the year?

What's the Drake Hotel like for rooms?suggest. I know that it may have that artsy niche if that is what you are looking for that.

150 to 385 sq feet max is pretty tight imo to set up lights and get good angles

What about The Great Hall on Queen Street? I don't know anything about costs or arrangements, but I heard about it and looked at the web site and it seems interesting. I have always admired the building when I passed it.

Although the main concert hall is obviously not suitable they have a smaller venue called the Conversation Room that looks interesting, and they also have studios (although they may be intended for longer term rentals). The one problem I see may be with the lack of furnishings.

this looks really good. although check in time is at 4pm?

You would have to talk with them as my information is from over 2 years ago from a fashion shoot in one of the rooms. At that time they were very accommodating. I have no idea how they are now and when it is a group of photographers.

Depending on price and availability, maybe getting two smaller rooms with different vibes instead of getting one larger room would be an idea you guys could try. This would break the group up and help get photos with two completely different looks.

Like maybe these:

The smaller rooms don't appear to have too much room around the bed. It will be an interesting excercise, lighting and composition wise. Someone should bring a step ladder or two. Shooting down from an elevated position might provide people with a few more angles and ideas to work with.

It appears to have some large windows and a South/West exposure which should make for some very large sources of light. That should be a perfect setting.

Is there anything else left to do Rhommel other than take over the registration? I mean, are the models confirmed and such?

Agree with Rhommel. The Gladstone is a really neat hotel. You wont have problems finding models to shoot there.
