Details:

What: Canadian International Air Show
When: Saturday Sept 03, 2011
Time: 11:30am (show starts at 12:30)
Where: Lakeshore, W of CNE and W of the VIP area.
Bring: Long lenses. Snacks + Water a good idea. So is rain gear, potentially.

I'm sure many of us will be there. Might as well have a registration to see how many we are and who is going. Maybe you might see someone you like, or someone you would rather avoid. Whatever.

Here is a rough idea of the location from last year (thank you Eddie.S)

Thanks to everyone who came out (to meet us, or not).

It was pretty hot and hazy weather. They called the show after the Warthog due to rain, but at least they let the Osprey fly by once.

I've been there but it was too crowded to see any of you. I found the Heavy Metal the best part of the show. The Sabre was great.

I arrived a bit late. Walked around looking for TPMG orange tags. Light wasn't all that great, plus the haze/smoke and my 2x converter, did not get any decent shots.

Have to see if I can make it back on Mon.

They're almost identical. Hard to tell when it's in the air (especially without the soviet symbols).

According to their site they are Canadair T-33 and L-39 Albatros.

I hope to make it there tomorrow

Their website looks waaaay out of date. More recent news said that the T-33 was being serviced and the MiG was newly acquired.

Its the 70-200/2.8 + 2x tele converter. I did crop most of the grey sky and bit of a crazy "curves" in aperture to pull the details.

Here it is, if you are interested

I'm taking out the 180 macro to try it out. It won't be my only lens - just something different.

That should work, it just would need a bit more cropping
